Catalog Description

GHK-Cu (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper complex) is the most-studied regenerative copper peptide, first isolated from the albumin fraction of human plasma by Loren Pickart in 1973. It stimulates fibroblast production of type I collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans/proteoglycans, with measurable increases in collagen synthesis at concentrations as low as 10nM within 48 hours in vitro. GHK-Cu accelerates every major phase of tissue repair (hemostasis, inflammation resolution, proliferation, remodeling) in both animal models and human studies, restores function of damaged fibroblasts, and reduces scarring. Microarray analysis by Pickart and others found GHK-Cu modulates over 4,000 human genes, with a majority trending toward a younger gene-expression profile - among the more extensively documented mechanisms in the cosmetic-peptide category.

Reported Research Effects

Reported Research Side Effects

Data source: Peer-reviewed topical reviews, current market data, and absence of human injection trials

Reflects preclinical/research literature context only. Not a medical claim, dosing instruction, or treatment recommendation.

Research Interactions

Flagged Avoid / Caution Combinations (Research)

Reflects patterns reported in research/community literature only. Not a safety guarantee, medical advice, or interaction warning for human use.

Research Notes

Three duplicate 1% cream entries and unsourced 1-2 mg SC schedules were consolidated. Topical evidence is materially stronger than injectable evidence, and raw powder is not interchangeable with a finished cosmetic.

Supplementary research context only. Not medical advice or a treatment recommendation.
