Reported Research Effects

Reflects preclinical/research literature context only. Not a medical claim, dosing instruction, or treatment recommendation.

Research Notes

Phase I studies evaluated single and multiple oral doses in healthy participants and reported rapid absorption and elimination, dose-proportional plasma exposure, attainment of steady state by day 3 during multiple dosing, reduced Cmax and delayed Tmax with food, and negligible urinary excretion of unchanged drug. Phase II studies evaluated 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg once daily for 6 weeks as monotherapy or adjunctive therapy in major depressive disorder; the reported trials did not demonstrate a clinically relevant reduction in depressive symptoms beyond placebo. These are study-reference data and not prescribing or dosing recommendations.

Supplementary research context only. Not medical advice or a treatment recommendation.
