Catalog Description

Retatrutide is an investigational triple incretin co-agonist activating GIP, GLP-1, and glucagon receptors. The Phase 3 TRIUMPH-1 obesity trial (N=2,339) reported an average 28.3% body-weight reduction at 80 weeks at the top dose, with roughly 65.3% of 12 mg-dose participants falling below a BMI of 30; a 104-week extension in patients with baseline BMI >=35 reported ~30.3% mean weight loss. A separate Phase 3 type 2 diabetes readout reported HbA1c reductions of up to 2.0% with superior weight loss versus placebo at 40 weeks. TRIUMPH-4 additionally reported weight loss plus reduced knee pain in adults with obesity and knee osteoarthritis. Not yet FDA-approved; Phase 3 program ongoing as of 2026.

Research Notes

Retatrutide remains investigational and has no FDA-approved prescribing schedule. Multiple Phase 2 arms used different starting doses and escalation speeds; the catalog now preserves those arm-specific schedules instead of presenting one community ladder as universal.

Supplementary research context only. Not medical advice or a treatment recommendation.
