Catalog Description

PACAP-27 is the shorter (27-amino-acid) isoform of Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-Activating Polypeptide, sharing high sequence homology with VIP and binding the same VPAC1, VPAC2, and PAC1 receptors to activate adenylate cyclase via Gs-protein signaling. Like VIP, it has documented effects modulating biochemical pathways in immune (leukemic myeloid) cells, but translational drug development faces similar metabolic-stability challenges.

Catalog descriptions reflect research context only. Not a medical claim or treatment recommendation.
