Catalog Description

Kisspeptin-54 is the parent (full-length, 54-amino-acid) isoform of kisspeptin, activating GPR54 (KISS1R) receptors on GnRH neurons to stimulate gonadotropin release. A published study found subcutaneous infusion of kisspeptin-54 stimulated gonadotropin release in women, with the LH response positively correlating with basal estradiol levels - supporting kisspeptin administration (via subcutaneous infusion) as a potential future therapeutic route for infertility treatment. This is directly comparable to, and complements, the kisspeptin-10 (KP-10) human trial data already documented in this catalog (see that record for the sexually dimorphic response pattern and direct kisspeptin-10-vs-54 comparison data).

Catalog descriptions reflect research context only. Not a medical claim or treatment recommendation.

Research Profile

Half-Life
Approximately 27.6 minutes in human plasma following IV administration -- notably longer than kisspeptin-10's roughly 4-minute half-life, which is why KP-54 sustains LH release longer.
Onset
Oocyte retrieval occurred 36 hours after SC trigger in the cited IVF study
Administration Routes (Research)
Subcutaneous (SC)

Route-Specific Research Protocols

Amounts and schedules are separated by administration route. Evidence badges distinguish labels, human studies, preclinical work, community reports, and evidence gaps.

Route safety: Research-study protocol only; it is not an approved or individualized instruction and should not be extrapolated to another route.

Do not convert an amount between routes. Bioavailability, formulation, sterility, monitoring, and clinical context differ by route. Research-use context only; independently verify every cited source.

Research Interactions

Flagged Avoid / Caution Combinations (Research)

Reflects patterns reported in research/community literature only. Not a safety guarantee, medical advice, or interaction warning for human use.

Research Notes

The previous row selected 9.6 nmol/kg as universally optimal and misstated a 77% clinical-pregnancy rate. The Phase 2 study tested 3.2-12.8 nmol/kg; pregnancy percentages were per transfer and subgroup-specific.

Supplementary research context only. Not medical advice or a treatment recommendation.
