Catalog Description

Galantamine is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and nicotinic receptor modulator, FDA-approved for mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease. Separately, a double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover study found pre-sleep galantamine significantly increased the rate of lucid dreaming: 27% of participants reported a lucid dream at 4mg (odds ratio 2.29) and 42% at 8mg (odds ratio 4.46), compared to 14% on active placebo - a genuine RCT finding, distinct from its approved Alzheimer's indication.
