Best-Effort Research Profile

DIIADDEPLT (Pep19) is a synthetically produced peptide with the amino-acid sequence Asp-Ile-Ile-Ala-Asp-Asp-Glu-Pro-Leu-Thr. It was developed by modifying the naturally identified cyclophilin A-derived peptide DITADDEPLT. Preclinical studies reported CB1-receptor inverse agonist activity, induction of uncoupling protein 1-related responses in adipocytes, and metabolic effects in diet-induced-obesity models. An early-stage placebo-controlled human study evaluated oral Pep19 capsules in adults with obesity; the compound remains investigational.

Source review pending. This descriptive profile is shown from the available source material as a best-effort educational reference. It has not passed the full verification bar and is not a dosing instruction, medical claim, or treatment recommendation.

Research Notes

Reported research regimens include oral Pep19 at 100, 300, and 600 micrograms/kg in diet-induced-obese rats, and 1 mg/kg orally in mice for c-Fos evaluation. In vitro adipocyte experiments used approximately 0.1–10 micromolar, including 1 micromolar exposure for signaling studies. A 2025 early-stage human trial evaluated 2 mg or 5 mg oral capsules once daily at bedtime for 60 days. These are study-specific reference regimens, not recommendations. No reliable compound-specific half-life, onset time, solubility specification, or storage condition was identified in the authoritative sources reviewed.

Supplementary research context only. Not medical advice or a treatment recommendation.

Source-Backed Observations

The parent sequence DITADDEPLT was identified as a cyclophilin A-derived intracellular peptide, while DIIADDEPLT is described as a rationally modified sequence. Reported CB1 activity and metabolic findings are experimental and should not be interpreted as established clinical efficacy. Pep19 is distinct from other compounds also called Pep19, including antimicrobial peptide Pep19-2.5 and immunological epitope peptides.
