Catalog Description

Alpha-GPC (choline alphoscerate) is a cholinergic precursor for acetylcholine synthesis that crosses the blood-brain barrier effectively, delivering free choline more rapidly than citicoline and producing faster acetylcholine-related effects. A 2025 systematic review/meta-analysis of 3 RCTs (358 dementia patients) found choline alphoscerate significantly outperformed citicoline on the SCAG clinical assessment scale at end of treatment. A separate randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial demonstrated efficacy and safety of choline alphoscerate for amnestic mild cognitive impairment.
